Judith Townshend – Chiropractor
“When I started to talk to Nicola about re-designing my website, I already had a website in place. I knew the previous designer didn’t know what she was doing, because the previous designer was me. I’m a good chiropractor, but it’s fair to say that I should stick to my strengths and leave web design to the professionals. At our first meeting Nicola asked a lot of good questions which helped me to really picture what I wanted for my new site. She had suggestions for things I hadn’t previously considered, and was also able to make my site do things that I had never worked out how to do. Throughout the design process she was excellent at communicating with me, ensuring that I was kept up-to-date on her progress and giving me plenty of notice when she needed anything from me. When she had finished the site, she even gave me a lesson on how I could change the text or images in the pages, publish new blog posts etc – something I felt I needed to be able to do to satisfy the control freak in me. I am delighted with my new site. It is everything I hoped it would be: clean, clear and efficient. I can highly recommend Nicola as an honest, diligent and above all talented web designer and I will be engaging her services in future for any web design services.”
Judith had previously set up her own website. Over the years she added content and made various changes to the format, and her business grew and evolved. She found it hard to find the time to make all but essential changes to the website.
When she contacted me she knew she wanted to tidy it up and freshen the look. I analysed the site and determined the changes required. We needed to make the ‘look and feel’ more consistent throughout, as well as make it easier to navigate.
I implemented the cleaner layout she wanted. I then advised her on how to reorganise her blog to best show off the invaluable content she already had. This left her free to focus on her Chiropractic business while still able to blog, as and when she can.
